Bullerman Angus was established in 1990 by Tom and Trish Bullerman in Adrian, Minnesota, beginning with the purchase of just two registered Angus heifers. Over the next 30+ years, they built the herd to 150 registered cows with a focus on maternal strength, added muscle, performance, and the ability to consistently wean heavy calves that add value for their customers.

In the fall of 2023, Tom and Trish held a retirement dispersal sale, transitioning the program to their son, Tyler, and his wife, Hilary. Through extensive embryo transfer work, the cornerstone cow families that defined the program for more than three decades were retained and preserved. Those proven genetics remain the backbone of the herd today.

Tom always believed it takes a big cow to consistently wean big calves—but size alone was never enough. A productive cow also needed muscle shape, substance of bone, sound feet, and a quality udder. Those priorities still define our herd, paired with an emphasis on body capacity, fleshing ability, and efficiency while maintaining a functional frame size.
